We are pleased to announce our new online permitting tool, the Citizens Self Service Portal!  This new tool allows us to accept select permit and license applications, and payments online.  Before you can submit applications online, you must create a new account to be approved. If you previously had an account for the Citizen Access Portal, you will still need to create a new account.

The City's Code Administration Division is currently experiencing a high volume of building permit activity. Due to recent staff shortages and operational changes related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the standard processing and review time for building permits has been delayed. Staff is continuing to process and review permits as quickly and as efficiently as possible. If you have any questions, please call 816-228-0117 or 816-228-0118 or Email. We appreciate your patience as we work towards reducing the delay and returning to standard processing and review times.
