Child Watch Hours & Policies
CHILD WATCH SERVICES AND POLICIES
Our mission is to provide a safe, welcoming, and fun space for each child. Children ages 3 months to 10 years can enjoy free play, crafts, and activities while under the supervision of our dedicated staff. Limit two hours per day. $1.50 per visit for members, $3 for non-members.
Parents/legal guardians MUST sign their children in and out of Child Watch and REMAIN in the Fieldhouse. The same parent/guardian who signed their child into Child Watch, must sign them out (or both parents must be present at sign out). Photo ID may be required.
Staff is NOT allowed to change diapers. Babies need to be in fresh diapers and children should use the bathroom before arriving. In the event that your child needs to be changed, we will notify you and ask you to come and change your child. A changing table is available in the Child Watch restroom.
We do not provide snacks or drinks for children. No food or beverages will be accepted or left for the child unless it is water in a spill proof cup. All feedings should occur prior to checking in.
Please do not bring a child who exhibits symptoms of sickness: fever, rash, vomiting, diarrhea, sore throat or drainage from eyes and nose within the last 48 hours. If they exhibit any of these symptoms while in Child Watch, the parent/guardian will be notified of the need to sign out their child immediately. Staff cannot administer any medication or treatments.
Occasionally children may become upset when separated from their parent/guardian. Staff will make every attempt to soothe upset children, but if unable to sooth an upset child after 10 minutes, the parent/guardian will be notified to come pick up their child.
We have a ratio of one staff for every 10 children (1 to every 3 infants), with a maximum of 20 children in the room at a time. Our staff works to maintain our ratio at all times; however, as a drop-in babysitting program, ratios may become skewed for brief periods of time.
We reserve the right to limit the number of children we serve to maintain the safety of all the children in Child Watch. Any child requiring greater care than the 1 staff per 10 children ratio is unfortunately beyond the expertise and scope of our services.
Children with an active Fieldhouse membership can use Child Watch free of charge! Child membership cannot be substituted for other children in a household without a membership.
Please refrain from bringing toys and personal items from home as they may cause problems with sharing. We are not responsible for any lost, broken or stolen items. Comfort items are welcomed such as a blanket or pacifier.
Repetitive unsafe or inappropriate behavior will be documented and dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Upon receiving three behavior reports it may be necessary for the child to take a leave of absence from Child Watch.
