In April of 2021, voters approved the renewal of the Parks Sales Tax, paving the way for construction of a new Blue Springs Waterpark, Blue Surf Bay, scheduled to break ground in fall of 2022. A groundbreaking ceremony for the fall with actual construction to begin soon after.
