Staff Spotlight: Jordan Litz, Police Officer

Meet Officer Litz! Blue Springs Police Officer Jordan Litz of the Traffic Unit has been with the Blue Springs Police Department for 4 years.

Q: Is this your first position with the City or have you changed roles? 

A: I was on regular patrol from 2018 to 2019 and then went to the Traffic Unit at the end of 2019.

Q: Tell us a little about what you do each day. 

A: I conduct traffic enforcement (Hazardous Moving, Non-Hazardous Moving), Investigate traffic crashes, and conduct surveys on problem areas with traffic concerns

Q: What is the best part of your job?

A: Being able to go out into our community and making a positive impact and develop relationships with the citizens.

Q: Tell us about a time you felt proud to serve the residents Blue Springs? 

A: By getting dangerous drivers off the roadway to keep the citizens of Blue Springs safe while they drive throughout the City.  

Q: Tell us one interesting fact about yourself.  

A: I was born on a military base in Bitburg, Germany in 1994.
