Girls on Fire Camp
The Blue Springs Police Department's Community & Youth Outreach Unit, in partnership with the Blue Springs Fitness Center, is offering a free, half day, week long workshop for girls ages 12-17 for residents or students of the Blue Springs School District.

The Girls on Fire Camp addresses the unique set of challenges facing young girls by encouraging healthy relationships, discipline, self-esteem and health & wellness.  Through a series of interactive presentations and physical fitness activities, girls will be introduced to concepts and healthy practices that enhance their self esteem.

Participants learn:
  • The Rewards of Discipline
  • Legal Aspects of Behavior
  • Decision Making Best Practices
  • Character and Self-Esteem Development
  • How Healthy Relationship and Lifestyle Make a Difference

Summer Schedule

The 2014 Girls on Fire Summer Schedule is:

  • June 9-14  (application deadline May 28)
  • July 7-11  (application deadline June 19)
  • July 21-25  (application deadline July 10)
  • August 4-8  (application deadline July 24)

All classes are at Blue Springs Fitness Center from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
