Area Agency on Aging
The Mid-America Regional Council's Aging Services Department functions as the Area Agency on Aging for Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte and Ray counties in Missouri. Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) were created through the Older Americans Act of 1995, as amended. The AAAs are a critical part of the multi-aging network.
Working with the Administration of Aging
and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services

Vesper Hall offers a monthly support group for caretakers of persons with Alzheimer's and dementia sponsored by the Alzheimer's Association. This group meets on the second Thursday of the month from 2:30-4 p.m. and are free of charge. The Alzheimer's Association has a Kansas City Chapter and offer many resources. Click here

The Blue Springs Police Department also offers a Senior Identification Kit. This kit is similar to the Child ID Kit and can be instrumental in helping officers find lost or wandering seniors. If you would like to learn more about this kit, contact Officer Allen Kintz by email
