The Central Jackson County Fire Protection District (CJCFPD) was formed in 1961 after a vote of the people approved the creation of the district. The CJCFPD is an independent taxing entity, separate from the City of Blue Springs.

The District covers:
  • Blue Springs
  • Grain Valley
  • Lake Tapawingo
  • Portions of unincorporated Jackson County

CJCFD has five stations located throughout the district. District Map

CJCFPD has:
  • Over 100 full-time professionals Four Engine Companies (located at Stations 2, 3, 4, & 5)
  • A Ladder Company (located at Station 1)
  • Three full-time, Advanced Life Support ambulances (located at Stations 1, 2, & 3)
  • Paramedics on the Engine and Ladder Companies, to facilitate rapid ALS response to medical emergencies
