The Animal Control Unit is responsible for the enforcement of all City codes related to the ownership and care of domestic animals.

The Unit operates seven days a week with three full-time officers. Animal Control Officers also make community presentations upon request.

Animal Control Fees:  Fees Collected at the Blue Springs Police Department (2nd Floor)
Pick up the telephone at the double doors.

$25.00 for 1st Offense (Redemption Fee)
$50.00 for 2nd & Subsequent offenses (Redemption Fee)
$29.00/day for kennel fees (if taken to shelter) Effective January 1, 2010.
$25.00 for dog, cat, or other animal body disposal fee
$25.00 to $55.00 animal euthanization fee
