The Records Bureau collects, processes and disseminates all police reports of crime, accidents, arrests and services.

The unit is also responsible for categorizing and filing reports. Reports are distributed to:
  • Affected agencies
  • Insurance companies
  • Citizens

The Records Unit is also responsible for issuing Liquor ID Cards. 

To qualify for a Liquor ID Card through the Blue Springs Police Department, you must work in Blue Springs.

To obtain a Liquor ID Card you must bring a Drivers License or Photo ID and $30 to the Records Unit located in the Blue Springs Police Department, 1304 W Main Street (Municipal Annex). You will be issued a temporary Liquor ID Card that will expire in 60 days. In order to receive your permanent Liquor ID Card, you must attend a required training class.
