Where we are now

Woods Chapel Road
The Woods Chapel Road improvements will add needed capacity for morning and evening commuters, while adding additional turn lanes, new walkways, enhanced landscaping and a bike path.

This cutting-edge improvement will feature a diverging diamond interchange.  This style of interchange increases capacity, decreases congestion and minimizes the cost of new infrastructure, We will save over 10 million dollars on this project using this innovative design.

MoDot has given preliminary plan approval for the project and we are in the right-of-way and land acquisition process. This project is expected to break ground in 2012.

Extension of Moreland School Road to Ligget Road
In September 2010, we celebrated the completion of the Moreland School Road to Liggett Extension project. This project connected Moreland School Road to the County portion of Liggett Road and is used by over 4,000 cars daily.

Colbern Road and Highway 7 interchange
In January 2012, we celebrated the completion of the Highway 7 and Colbern Road interchange.  The project improvement widenedHighway 7, added turn lanes, center islands and signal improvements.

We are proud to deliver on our promise to Blue Springs voters by completing these projects ahead of schedule and under budget.
