Missouri Innovation Park
The Blue Springs Economic Development Corporation (EDC) in conjunction with the City of Blue Springs, Missouri, developed the Missouri Innovation Park, a 200+ acre science and technology innovation park that provides a clustered focus for knowledge-based innovation and commercialization in Western Missouri.
This knowledge-based community is anchored by a long-term collaboration with the University of Missouri (MU), as its anchor research tenant, in accordance with a Memorandum of Understanding recently signed by the Blue Springs EDC, the City of Blue Springs, and MU. MU established the Mizzou Innovation Center at the Missouri Innovation Park to consolidate MU’s various activities in the region.
In November 2011, MU and the City of Blue Springs signed a Letter of Agreement to develop the first phase of the MIP, representing 63 acers and an 60,000 to 80,000 square foot building with MU as the anchor tenant. To learn more about this agreeement, click here.
