Blue Springs is a community that believes in staying healthy and being physically fit. Better health leads to a better life filled with less stress, anxiety and health-related issues. Additionally, experts say that 30 minutes of daily movement helps promote increased wellness and a heart-healthy lifestyle.
Mayor Carson Ross invites the community join him for a 30-minute walk on Friday, April 12 beginning at Blue Springs City Hall, 903 W. Main Street. Mayor Ross will welcome walkers and stretches will begin at noon, with the walk through downtown Blue Springs beginning at 12:15 p.m.
Kansas City Chiefs mascot, KC Wolf, will be at the March to cheer on the walkers and to emphasize the partnership between the Let's Move! campaign and NFL Play 60.
If you are interested in other events that get you up and moving, we invite you to participate in one of the Let's Move! Saturdays events. For information on upcoming events, visit www.bluespringsgov.com/letsmove
