Effective May 1, 2009, the City of Blue Springs will utilize its
Identity Theft Protection Program to protect its consumers when establishing new water and/or sewer service with the City. The Identity Theft Protection Program stems from the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions (FACT) Act of 2003, and requires all creditors, including municipal utilities, to utilize such programs to address the risk of identity theft to consumers.
