Pink Hill Park Recycling Center

Pink Hill Park Recycling Center is located at 1201 NW Park Rd, Blue Springs, Mo. For more information, call the Recycling Hotline at (816) 228-0228.

The center accepts common recyclables such as glass, plastic, aluminum, tin cans, paper and cardboard materials.

Hours:

  • Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  • Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Pink Hill Recycling Center is the first of its kind in Blue Springs.  The center was made possible due to several resident-lead strategic planning initiatives, city support and grant funding.

The center was in the planning process for several years when it was made a priority issue by the “Renew the Blue” community visioning implementation organization in 2006.   Efforts intensified in 2007 when the City’s Solid Waste Management Commission began working on the center as its primary goal.  In July 2008, the City Council directed staff to proceed with planning of the recycling center.  The City applied for a grant for the center from the Mid-America Regional Council’s Solid Waste Management District that was funded by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
