This section provides information on current Bid and Contract Opportunities. Bid and Contract postings are made as services are needed by the City. This information is conveniently provided to service providers, contractors, vendors, suppliers, and consultants who are seeking these opportunities with the City.

Sealed bids will be received at the City of Blue Springs Public Works, 500 SE Sunnyside School Road, Blue Springs, Missouri, until 2:00PM on May 14, 2013, for One (1) 2013 Three Quarter (3/4) Ton Truck.  At said time and place, and promptly thereafter, all bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud.

Specifications may be picked up at the City of Blue Springs Public Works Department, 500 SE Sunnyside School Road, Blue Springs, Missouri 64014.  Said specifications are to be considered minimum requirements for the vehicles.  The vehicles shall contain accessories set forth in the specifications to make them completely operational and shall be current production models.

The City of Blue Springs reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities or irregularities therein. The City of Blue Springs hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to the advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids without discrimination, regardless of race, color, or national origin in consideration for any award.  No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of opening thereof.

Bed and Hydraulics

Sealed bids will be received at the City of Blue Springs, Public Works building, office of the Interim Director of Public Works, 500 SE Sunnyside School Road, Blue Springs, MO until 2:00 pm May 10, 2013 for one (1) 2013 1-1.5 ton 2x4 with optional bid for 4x4 truck with minimum ~6.0L gasoline or ~6.7L diesel (optional) with automatic transmission, bed and hydraulics.  At said time and place, and promptly thereafter, publicly opened and read aloud.  The acceptance of the bid is dependent upon administrative and council approval.

Specification package will be available on April 29, 2013 and may be picked up at the Public Works office at 500 SE Sunnyside School Road.  Said specifications are to be considered minimum requirements for the equipment which will be used as a three man truck, dump bed, and a trailer hitch capable of pulling a 20,000 GVW trailer.

The equipment shall contain accessories as set forth in the specifications, to make a completely operational and functional unit.

The City of Blue Springs reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities or irregularities therein.  The City of Blue Springs hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to advertisement; minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids without discrimination regardless of race, color, or national origin in consideration of any award.  No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of opening thereof.
