Crime Analysis Unit

The Crime Analysis Unit is responsible for collecting, analyzing and distributing data on crime and disorder patterns.  Additional duties of the Crime Analysis Unit include:

  • Collect and organize data to identify and disseminate information about crime patterns and crime series so that the department can intercede and stop them as soon as possible.
  • Analyzes crime trends and other non-crime quality of life issues to assist with crime prevention.
  •  Provide database querying, statistics and other types of law enforcement information as well as conducts additional analytical or informational activities as requested. 
  • Assists as an informational resource for inquiries from the public related to statistics or demographics.
