ONLINE REPORTING FOR NON-EMERGENCY INCIDENTS

Report NON-EMERGENCY INCIDENTS as long as there are no personal injuries as a result of this incident relating to:  

  • Lost property
  • Theft 
  • Theft from vehicle
  • Vandalism and vandalism to a vehicle

If there is evidence, or a suspect, you will need to file a report through an officer.

Once incident report is received and reviewed, we will contact you using the information provided for any further information needed.  Your report will be forwarded to a detective to review if it falls into the guidelines to investigate.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Text-A-TIP is a texting service that will allow citizens to anonymously send TIPs on suspected criminal activity to the Blue Springs Police Department as text messages or via the web. By sending anonymous crime tips, citizens are :

  • Assisting with neighborhood watch
  • Engaging in crime prevention activities
  • Staying alert to suspicious or suspected criminal activity

HOW TO USE TEXT-A-TIP

  1. Text “BSPD plus your message” to CRIMES (274637)
  2. Upon receipt of a tipster’s 1st incoming message, the system will auto-reply with a confirmation containing their unique Tip ID
  3. To submit follow-up information, the tipster simply replies - Nothing else is needed
  4. All communications are conducted anonymously between the tipster and the Police Department
