let spring be your renewal
Spring is around the corner, a much anticipated time for a lot of us after the cold and solitude of winter. Springtime evokes feelings of emergence or coming into existence. Whether we were successful or not in our New Year’s resolutions to be more active, spring can be a time to reestablish our intentions or continue our active habits. One way you can do this is through our new program here at the Fieldhouse, the Spring Renewal Retreat led by Jamie Mason. Join Jamie as she leads an observance of the Spring Equinox.
Marking the end of winter, the equinox is indicated by the equal length of day and night all over the world. The beginning of spring can ignite a desire for letting go, renewal and new beginnings. Come greet spring with mindful movements (energizing basic Pilates and gentle yoga), self-massage techniques, guided meditation and reflection to create positive intentions for the new season. The retreat will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, March 25 in the Aerobics room at the Fieldhouse. Pre-registration will be required, so don’t miss your chance to take part in this energizing opportunity for all.
Group exercise classes in January set record high numbers in attendance. Thank you to all who have and continue to participate. The Fieldhouse offers bootcamp classes at 5:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, as well as Spin, Zumba, Yoga and other classes Monday through Saturday. Youth Speed and Agility continues each month for ages 5-7, 8-11 and 12-14. All sport groups are welcome to attend. Pre-registration is required due to the popularity of this program.
The Fieldhouse, with its many programs and offerings, is a great place to be. For more information, call the Fieldhouse front desk at 816-228-0137, or visit the Fieldhouse website.
