On your mark, get set, GO! Blue Springs Parks & Recreation is turning Keystone Park into a racetrack on Saturday, May 6 to host a power wheels race. Power Wheels are required to race. Racers will navigate a course through the park. Children 2-7 are invited to bring their personal Power Wheel and compete in a friendly race! Check in begins at 8 a.m.
The competition will be divided into three age classes, 2-3, 4-5, 6-7. The age ranges will be competing separately. The first race will begin at 9 a.m. Trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for all classes. Power Wheels must be original stock vehicles with no modifications. Parent remote controls are not permitted. Helmets are required for participation. Parents are required to walk with their child(ren) throughout the course.

SAFETY GEAR, ATTIRE AND VEHICLES
Participants will be required to wear at minimum, a bicycle helmet and tennis shoes or boots. Flip Flops, sandals or open-toed footwear are NOT allowed.
Vehicles must be stock power wheels only. Drivers body must be fully contained in the vehicles. Vehicles where the legs are on the outside (4-Wheelers) are NOT allowed. Must be a sit in vehicle, not a sit on vehicle. Only 12V batteries designed for power wheel vehicles. Traction devices or studs are not allowed in the tires, no bumpers, weights or anything to reinforce the vehicle is allowed.
Only one guardian is allowed in the Power Wheel Pit area. Parents/Guardians/Fans can coach and cheer from the sidelines but are not allowed to help or be on the track. Considerations will be given to 2 year old drivers, allowing parents to walk alongside the driver to encourage going the right direction.
